I sent my enrollment form to HTH Worldwide by mail or fax. When will my coverage begin? When will I receive my ID card?
Your coverage will be effective on the day you requested coverage to begin or the date we receive payment of premium, whichever is later. Your ID cards will be mailed within two business days after we receive your enrollment form and confirm valid payment. When you enroll online, you will receive a confirmation email within 1 hour of submitting your enrollment as evidence of coverage.
May I cover my dependents?
HTH Worldwide's voluntary plans do not allow dependents.
I have a pre-existing medical condition. Will HTH Worldwide plans provide coverage for this condition?
All of HTH Worldwide plans provide coverage for pre-existing conditions. Group plans pre-existing conditions and coverage vary. Please check your plan Certificate for details. For individual (voluntary) plans, the waiting period for coverage of pre-existing conditions is 12 months, subject to state mandated limits. Please review our individual plans for details.
What is excluded from coverage under HTH Worldwide plans?

I am going on a study abroad trip; will I be covered in my home country if I need to return?
HTH Worldwide's individual plans are primarily intended to cover participants when they travel outside of their home country and do not include coverage for medical expenses incurred in a participant's home country. However, some of our group plans do have a limited medical benefit for home country coverage. Please check your plan's specific benefit details for more information.
What happens if I am injured or become sick while on my trip and need care that is not available in my destination country?
All HTH Worldwide plans include medical assistance and evacuation benefits. In the event of a medical emergency, you can use the telephone number found on your ID card to request medical assistance. HTH's assistance partner will review the situation, and, if necessary, arrange a medical evacuation to the nearest qualified treatment facility, subject to the limitations of your plan.
